Lord Derby Giant Eland – Roan Antelope

On the 15-day safari, days 1 and 15 are transfer days. This means, there are 13 full days of hunting with some possible hunting on arrival and departure days, depending on domestic flights schedules.The Big hunting license allows for taking two different species from group A and four from group B or C. Hunting on a 1 x 1 basis. Each professional hunter has his own vehicle and a team of trackers and porters.  All safaris are scheduled with one or maximum three hunters per camp.

The way the license works is you get to choose 2 animals from group A, and 4 from group B & C. Group  A include eland, buffalo, hippo, and roan.  The best trophies from B are cob, hartebeest, bushbuck, waterbuck, and reedbuck

The camps are African comfortable and the food is very good.

The professional hunters are excellent and very hard working.  You do have to be in reasonable shape as there can be a bit of walking.

With such a high success rate its a great place to fill out your species list
