Consistently Catch Rainbows Over 10 Pounds

We have known about this fantastic rainbow trout fishery but haven’t wanted to make the 9 hour but busting ride to get there.  That’s all changed since they built a runway at the lodge and now you can charter in from Comodoro Rivadavia with a 19 seats Twin Otter.  It’s on the Barrancoso River  This crystal clear river together with Lake are undoubtedly the best system in the world for trophy rainbow trout fishing.  It wouldn’t be unusual to have a 50 fish day, with several of those between 10-15 pounds.  Then in the mix will be a couple of 20 pound plus real trophy fish!

The lodge has 5 new double/triple rooms with private bathrooms, heating, WIFI and 24 hrs lighting.  There is a  larger and comfortable living room with a great lake and river view and a new heated wading room.

The lake has no outlet; and below those dark spots are fish staging to up-river to spawn.  These fish get to this phenomenal size because of the food source in the lake. They will hit mouse patterns, streamers and some dry flies.

Pricing starts at $4900 (2023) four days & nights, three days fishing. There are full week programs.  This trip can be added to other Argentina fishing programs or tours in Argentina.
